grab a cup of coffee in your favorite rose teacup and toast to an almost a new year of junking!!

with the beginning of a new year approaching and 70+ degree sunny weather today AND a trip to the bookstore…i have been inspired by ROSES once again!!! i bought the magnolia pearl book i’ve been wanting and 2 collage books i just can’t seem to live w/o. i will go thru those soon and take some photos of my favorite things. i sometimes think i’d like to make my own book about altered junk….only because i use just about everything junky i can find…..the junkier and trashier (are those words?) the better. i don’t use kits. i don’t buy too many fancy craft embellishments from the store and i don’t use ‘techniques’ much. i’m too ADHD and i can’t focus on doing things the ‘right’ way. i just let it come out. whatever i can find to stick on a board or tin or cast off item. i use a little glue, some old ephemera, some nails, hot glue, buttons, vintage junk jewels, glitter glue, odd clothing pieces, roses anything, rusty bits and broken vintage cuties….whatever seems to work at the time. i wish there were more books out there with ideas from a spectrum of things that go WAY beyond the obvious. i know those books exist because i have found a few, but i get lots of free ideas from online, so it is hard to justify $20 for a book unless it is totally what i am into at the time. blah, blah. sorry.

see, i’m on a tangent. anyway…..with the warm weather and the holiday decorations going back in the shed, i’ve decided to post on my love of doilies, roses, and dishes that seem to inspire me daily. also other inspiring things around my house as well. i’m one of those souls that needs lots of light…i thrive on sunlight and open blinds….curtains that are sheer or white…tied back for all the possibilties of sunshine to come into the rooms. this is something that helps keep me happy. i always seem daunted by the thought of endless housework….for those of you with small children (big ones too), you know how overwhelming it can get around the house. mess after mess….chore after chore. the sunshine helps me stay alert. it is like nature’s cup of joe. i feel the same way about roses, chipped paint, rust, doilies, old papers, vintage clothes and hats, rhinestones, vintage kid things, old plates, ironstone, cream colored lace and bits and pieces of cast off junk that seems to go unoticed by most buyers…..i feel the same way about digging for treasures in junk shops and thrift stores…..i feel the same way about making fun projects and seeing what will happen when i add a little paint, glue and pizazz. i guess the point of this post is to inspire. everyday is a chance to find something new, create something new and be inspired by something i haven’t seen before.

i had to sort thru 2 big boxes of lace, ribbon and material today. that prompted me to buy some fun books, take lots of home photos and look forward to the new year….. another year of crafts, blogging, meeting new customers, vendors, and wonderful folks in this industry we call resale and art. zoey helped me go thru quilt squares, sort thru ribbon and fold bits of fabric tucked away for next year’s projects. arek inspired me to take lots of photos and impulsively crop them big….up close and colorful….unafraid to show the flaws….the cracks, breaks, and stains. i took a bunch of photos of my plates. i’m not sure where this obsession came from…probably from several years ago when i would put them in my flower gardens….anywhere and everywhere!! i had my friends marnee and cheryl inspire me with anything and all things rose plates….the older the better. pretty pink flowers…chips and all. so sweet and used to be so cheap!!! now, it is harder to find those cutie pie cups, plates, saucers and vases, so naturally….i grab up all that i can when i find a good deal….as you can see by the inside of my cupboard!!! these i use everyday…i love them. i also like the aqua colored and faded yellow colored cups and saucers. if they break…i just use them for projects. why not????? all of this makes my husband nuts!! he says, “don’t you already have one just like that?” everytime i find a new piece. ummmm, no, and if i do, then i will add another and make a collection. does it matter if i already have one like it???? duh. lol. oh well….i’m a cheap date. when we got married, i didn’t want china…i wanted retro drinking glasses from the 1950s and 60s. i still have that collection. i will save it for another post.

found a set of 6 of these fab cups….I LOVE THEM. paid about $2 for the whole set from goodwill. yummy.

i have a small (only 3) collection of these name mugs. I LOVE THEM. i give ron the edith cup. i’m pauline. lori was in the garden.

I LOVE THIS PLATE…it is small and solo. i got it from marta’s shop. it was not expensive….even better!

these are in my dish drainer…some i use for my wax melts tarts and some for food and some for future projects.

mini tea pots. can i get enough of these???? apparently not.

rose bowl on my window shelf.

more stacks of cups…..lovely floral cups….single and alone, but together they look like a family.

just got this from marta…..OOOHHH LAA LAA.

love this pink $5 shelf. yummy. couldn’t resist the overload of cups and sugar bowls, salt shakers and little plate. it has already changed since this pic. i’ve added more and took away the little doll.

i’ve had this pink vase for about 8 years. i paid almost nothing for it. it’s one of my favorites. i keep planning to turn this little doll into a piece of jewelry, but i only have so much time.

a shelf of minis and little dolls….i’ve shown this before, but it has changed since then. i can’t get enough of these little minis.

i am also a sucker for vintage fabric….blankets, quilts, doilies, fabric scraps….barkcloth, cotton, chenille, vintage fabrics, linen, lace….anything with roses…faded, colorful…whatever. if it has a rose on it, i’ll like it.

the texture of faded, old lace is such an uplifting image to me. it’s romantic. i would just store bundles and bundles of this stuff if i had that much. i use it for soooo many projects.

old hats….

lovely vintage potholders in green lid glass jars….why not??? i know…most folks have cookies or macaroni in jars, but i have old potholders and velvet fruit. whatever.

and i can’t get enough vintage postcards and greeting cards. i love the faded graphics, roses, little illustrations on them.

i love this little valentine card tucked away inside a non working old clock.

old calendar….

stacks of old books…..i ripped the backing off the binding of these books. shame on me, but look how fantastic they look!! i can’t afford those old french books that are so beautiful and time worn, so i created a look for almost nothing. i found several of these books in europe and several at an antique book sale….25 old books for $10!!!!!!

i’m also drawn toward rose paintings, crusty metal furniture, groupings of faded old goodies, neat vintage kids things, and just about anything pink or white and chippy.

cute kids clock from my friend cheryl….

paint by number….found these for $1 each!!!! i have a set of two.what a find!!

i found this french soap at tuesday morning. i love the packaging of it. i can’t justify opening it. it’s way too pretty.

found the lovebird candles at ROSS. i bought them for my friend TERRY LEE. they are a Christmas gift, but they haven’t made their way to her home yet. the collage underneath is one of the first ones i made several years ago. i found the window curbside and attached all the elements with glue. it was a feeble attempt at altering something, but that was way back before this stuff was that popular…no computers…no etsy…no ebay….no flickr….no blogs. i have learned so much for all of those tech treats we have today.

finally…are you tired yet???? a new plate from marta. she is a beauty. she’s not too vintage yet, but she’s so adorable….i had to have her.

these are the decorations and vintage items i seem drawn to over and over again… will set the stage for a new year of booth redos, crafting, blogging and collecting. i’m sure i’ve repeated photos in this post. maybe i am just traveling down vintage sue memory lane….looking back on all the junking madness i’ve been thru for a year. all the revamps, redos, collecting, selling, and gifting. i don’t really have new year resolutions, but if i have to make one this year…it will be to junk more of the items i love. to be a little more receptive to what i truly love and continue to post photos that i hope inspire others to do the same.

it’s time for another cup of coffee after this post!! lol

snow where???? not here….it’s hot, windy and my house is humid and messy!!

MERRY AFTER CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE. for all of my family, friends and new blogger friends i’ve made along the way…..i hope you all had a great christmas day. we did, but we are tired now and still full from too much food.

now that the excitement is over….and i have a new crock pot (no…i didn’t make any food in that yet) and the kids have lots of new toys, i’m hot, tired, and very, very bloated from all the junk food i keep eating!! i know that half the country is dusted heavily with the cold, white stuff, but we just ain’t having non of that in this part of texas at all. it’s almost 80 degrees today….windy and humid. it makes my carpet feel like a sweaty man’s back and it makes me tired so i keep eating more junk food to stay awake. that is my excuse and i’m sticking to it.

it is sooooo windy today….i’m surprised that none of my holiday decorations have flown into the neighbor’s yard yet. i kinda wish they would today. what a job it is to take all these pretty decorations down. luckily….i hardly decorated. other good thing about taking them down is that i need the space back from these temporary displays. i have already taken down zoey’s little trees in her room, a wreath and some ornaments. i haven’t taken down my tree. that won’t come down until new year’s day. my husband took a pic. of it xmas morning. it’s so sad and glorious at the same time. luminous though and good enough for us. everything is sooooo peaceful.

until…….what is that whisky bottle on the floor???? arek got a bottle of ginger beer from santa (that santa) and almost refused to open it because he thought it was real beer. now what kind of santa would bring beer to a 3rd grader???? what is all of this??? legos (that were covering everything), a play bow and arrow set that got shot at my front door and the tv, a tub of popcorn the size of the family car, so many sets of pajamas that we might need another washing machine to put them in, an alien space maker kit (oh the fun we had with that today), craft books, barbie stuff, blankets, foam soap for the bath tub (that will cause a fight i am sure), and the list goes on and on. what fun. really. arek got a voice changer and a voice warp machine from santa. he has not stopped making noises since. between zoey’s requests for sharpie markers and arek’s compulsive noise making….it sounds a lot like Christmas…as it should.

how embarassing. this is kinda what my house looks like most of the time anyway. i take photos of stuff looking clean, but mostly….it is a full time daycare look with an occasional grouping of serious vintage objects surrounding it. it was worth the mess….my mom sent the kids some of the cutest things…a big king crown hat, a tiara for zoey and a head dress of pretty flowers for zoey as well…..along with her signature hand knit items. thanks mom.

rachel, thanks for the super cute dolls. handmade and ADORABLE. i love them. the kids love them. arek loves both of them. these are seriously cute.

arek looking rather urban in his grammy handmade scarf set…..oh…and yes santa brought him some new p.js that match!! hee hee

my kitchen has now become FAMILY LANES.

zoey got make-up from santa and i think that is all she cared about the entire day….

after about an hour of this….we had makeup all over everything….yay.

she got a red sharpie marker today while i was not paying attention to her…..of course……i didn’t notice, her brother didn’t notice and her dad was waaaayyy too busy looking for camera lenses and facebook accounts on the internet or something….anyway….if you give a 2 year old a marker they will either 1. draw on the couch or 2. draw on their siblings or 3. draw on their body ….. case in point. love the eyeliner zoey….no…sharpie marker is not makeup. after we took the marker away from her, she cried for over 20 minutes. one of ‘those’ meltdowns. poor thing.

i was pricing things for the booth and taking photos while she was eyeling like she was dressing up for project runway. i am slowly gathering items for valentines day. i plan to have a sale at my booth the beginning of next week…..and re-do the booth for the first of the year. i have been busy making little items, altering small things and i plan to paint some furniture as well….a table and a bench.

come on out the first of the year for a new look and new merchandise.

little altered container

those cast off primitive hearts that are a dime a dozen at the thrift shops……i painted them out, put letters on them and glitter.

vintage cards….

that is about it for now. i better go pay attention to zoey. see what she is into now. that little girl. she’s a mess….i mean really a mess. wipe your eyes girl. wait until she can wear makeup to school. i’m in for BIG trouble.

take care everyone….

pre-pre eve….too many roses and lace and not enough holly and green pine!!!!

so…it is almost Christmas Eve…my favorite time when the kids get all nuts and sugar crazy on cookies and candy canes…..and i still have no holly or green pine in my house this year. i have been inspired by lace, roses and white. it must be a phase. i think i’ve had green and red in my house every year i can think of, but this year brings more rose inspired fabric, lace, and vintage cards that are already reminding me of valentines day!!!

i took several photos of things around the house that are inspiring me right now. i plan to make several wreaths for the booth with vintage lace and old photos, notions, jewels and buttons. i was inspired by a few wreaths i’ve seen on other blogs and i thank the bloggers in blog land for sharing what inspires them!! my booth has been strangely abandoned this month and i have hardly managed my rent for the month. i hope that january will be better and i can deliver the fun and enjoyment i get from creating unique displays that make my customers want to come browse and shop week after week. for those die hard customers of mine…..hang in there. i have big plans for january and february. i didn’t mean to abandon you this month, but i’ve had some unexpected and expected experiences that have slowed my booth progress down greatly.

okay….just some random rose photos, lace photos, vintage card photos and some displays around the house that help keep me happy while the cold days keep me from painting and crafting outside. to my friends in the snow right now…….hang in there. i love snow, but i too feel that cabin fever pressure you get when you can’t get out the door and manage to ‘escape’ from your house and your kids. lol. i know, i know….bake cookies, stay warm, drink hot cocoa and enjoy the beauty of the white stuff…BUT….that only goes so far and for those junkers and treasure collectors out there…..IT IS TIME TO GET OUT AND GO SHOPPING!!!

zoey and arek are crawling all over me right now with there cold hands and feet digging impressions on my warm arms and legs. STOP. heehee

a small altered wreath with little sparkles and below that are some lacy vintage hats i have.

sweet wreath i found for $1 at the sally store. she already had lights!!! i know…i know….no holly.

fabric scrap i found in the bins at g.w. looks like barkcloth, but it isn’t. so sweet anyway.

this is an iron board cover. i found the iron board w/cover for $2 at a thrift shop in town. it is a small iron board, so i hung it on the wall above my washer.

pillow my friend marnee made for me. i love this fabric!!

plates….can’t have enough rose plates.

small rose pic i found for $3 at crafter’s.

a bevy of fabrics i can’t seem to stop buying. the rose pattern on the right is a handmade dress i found at a charity shop. they have a $1 fill a bag in the back of the store. i love fill a bag day!!! i found this dress for i guess 10 cents because i think i got 10 clothing pieces in that bag.

here is a lousy photo of the dress. it is very cute. this photo does not do it justice!!!!

close up of a vintage fabric rose.

onto some vignettes around the house….i got tired of curtains so i hung these crazy old linens above my sink….

redid a shelf in the laundry area and below that….i redid an area above the bed with a cheap little chandie, a romantic print i found in europe..framed and only about $20, a paris sign and some neat german curtains that were roadkill.

an antique book page taped to a vintage bed dress that hangs in my hallway.

vintage lamp i found for $8 at the sally store (sal army)

vintage lady i found from marta’s place. i love her….i added some glitter around her. i thought she needed to sparkle more!

i found these cards while i was cleaning up this weekend and i love them. i forgot i even had them!! lol. i have collected them on my travels. i have such an addiction to vintage ephemera. it’s my nicotine. i need a patch.

geeze…is that enough?????? okay folks. enjoy your pre Christmas Eve day and i hope you don’t have to compete with traffic and shopping today. hopefully you can stay warm in the house with coffee, tea, cocoa, and some awesome crafts….lots of blogging time…and a nap to boot.

hubby taking a photo of me as we speak. stop, stop, stop…….go find something cute to shoot. ack.

new nikon, cheap thrift fixes and a seasonal decorating crisis……

you would think with the holidays here and all the cold weather across the country, i’d have my sweet little girl..wrapped up…in swaddling clothing….big red cheeks, hair in a big sweet bow, pretty red Christmas dress, clean….proper and adorable.

WHAT IS THIS????? well, it’s texas in the middle of december…hot, unpredictable and worlds away from the cold and snow i grew up with during the holiday season.

why is zoey not dressed, not groomed, and blue around the mouth????? i guess we could blame that on the terrible twos….and candy. both my nemesis these days. “i want candy” is the first demand i get of the day. well….nearly the first. it’s in the top five for the first 10 minutes of the waking morning hours. that and “don’t touch my hair”.

that said….my husband took a great photo of this wild, little toddler. ron just bought a new nikon and treated himself early this christmas to something he really wanted. i may use this new, intimidating piece of photography equipment soon, but i am too afraid i’ll break something or have to fight with the kids about how much they want to take just one photo. i think i will leave well enough alone, and stick with the basics…..what i already know.

i have been so busy enjoying family time lately, that i haven’t been blogging so much or buying so much for the booth. i did manage to hit a couple of junking spots last week. i hit the g.w. bins and another awesome thrift stop that sells junk jewels for 10 cents and such. they even have a ‘free’ pile outside of the shop. i found a friend’s gift there this season. don’t ask. it’s great. i love it.

my friend marta says she needs a g.w. bin fix. i love that. cheap fix…junking in the bins for a quick, cheap treasure high. why not! it’s cheap, it’s fun and it burns calories. all of which i need in my life these days. that said…on with some photos and less blah, blah, blah…

these 2 pics were taken with my old crappy digi camera. for some reason, i think they turned out great.

the pic below was taken with the new nikon. it will take ron some time to get used to using it. i adjusted the color saturation in image ready to make the photo look vintage.

i wish i had more time to mess with digital imaging. it would be fun to create some collages that way.

okay…on with junk finds this week! i’m gearing up for valentines day. it is my time….lots of florals, pinks, sparkle and vintage goodness…roses, fabric, little collages, hearts, romance….so much fun.

i found some things to alter and some goodies just to hold on to…..all for a song.

love, love, love this baby quilt!!!!!!!!!! 50 cents!!! it was sittin on the top of the linen pile…like a lost swan. i can’t believe folks didn’t grab it up. i’m so glad they didn’t. guess it was meant to come home with me. so glad i didn’t have fight for it….like i did for the stack of plates and silver urn…i think i actually put my hand thru someone’s arm to reach for some of this stuff. am i that hooked?????? call me a rehab….but i’ll say no, no.

love this old book binding….i didn’t know there were 250 ways to prepare anything…much less game birds and potatoes. and what’s with the body building recipes for children. i don’t think they should be training for that at such a young age. i’m also not so sure i have time to read 2000 useful food facts. i’m hardly able to read my cable bill.

everlasting love is on the way to rachel’s house. thank you rachel again for such sweet gifts for Christmas. really….VERY, VERY kind!!!

a mantel photo with my $1.50 saint angelo (me thinks) candles. i love the graphics on these candles. i also used some vntage pom pom fringe instead of a green pine garland this year. i am so tacky….i actually have a flower box outside with pink metal tulips, and a white metal flower sign. okay…juxtapose that with my yard ornies, my sad outdoor tree and my plastic bag door wreath. what gives????? who time of the year is it anyway? let’s play for $10,000. can anyone guess? christmas in july? beward the ides of march? what then

oh, it gets weirder…..what is this? the g and the o fell off the other day and now it just says R1W1. what does that stand for? ‘really wrong’. i’m having a seasonal decorating crisis this year. i’m sorry.

i tend to find waaayyy too many of these glass candle inserts when i go thrifting. i love them, but i run out of ideas for them.

i found this great, rusty light fixture for $4 at an antique mall. i just added this glass globe and put tons of trinkets in it. i love it. i can’t afford those glass cloches and i really don’t have room in my house for them, so this is a great way for me to display my baubbles and bling without a lot of effort.

i love this sweet, old doll. i found her for a song at marta’s shop. thanks marta. she’s incredible. i also found this great, old box at marta’s too. lovely.

that is about it. a bunch of random blah, blah, blah.

trying to get ready for Christmas, but still finding time to squeeze in some junking as well. the kids will probably get some vintage hats from santa and wonder what kind of workshop he is actually running down at the pole. instead of new pajamas and slippers, they will get vintage aprons and beaded gowns. and instead of sugar plums dancing thru their heads…there will be beaded fruit and plastic grapes.

holiday reflections was a hit!!!

well…ho, ho, ho and mistletoe and and now i’m beat!!! the Holiday Reflections Open House was a HIT. i really had fun. i was soooooo happy to finally meet Theresa Cano of Vintage Garden Antiques. she was as sweet as she is talented. what a pleasure. what an honor. it was really fun chatting with you in the cold!!! i also had such fun decorating with the goodies i got from her booth at Carol’s Open House. before i show you Carol’s lovely house, i want to show you what i bought from theresa.

for the shoppers that bought from me…thanks for all the kinds words and compliments. i really appreciate it!!! enjoy your goodies and visit me when you get to the COVE. i never know what i will make or bring next. whatever inspires me at the time….that is what i make.

i must say i am sore and tired….bending and standing all day yesterday did it….like my waitressing days. so much work!!! i sold so much and i made so many new friends. i really did have fun. i found there are so many amazing, talented, hard working texas women in this business we call vintage retail. what inspiration. thank you to those of you who came out to support the cause, the vendors and my friends sally and karin that came to see me and cheer me on!!!! it meant a lot to me!!

of course i have a big shout out to Carol…thanks for hosting such a great benefit that proved a wonderful party for all. and MARTA….thank you for putting up with me and my sueisms all day long….lol. i hope your feet are still up on the table and your body is resting comfortably on a nice, comfy couch. you need fluids too…please!!!!!! thanks for you help. you are a mentor and a friend.

okay…now for some redos in the house with some neat vintage windows i found not too long ago from my newest salvage chic contact debbie….and also some redos with some cuties i bought from theresa

love the basket and small table from theresa. i found the ladies on that fab green frog ($5 at a local antique mall) from marta’s booth. also the light switch….LOVE THE PINK ROSES. i didn’t dare rewire it, so i added a light bulb i covered in BIG vintage glitter. the glitter you found back in the 70’s for your school egg crate xmas ornaments!!!!!!! i love the way it looks.

love this old medicine cabinet mirror i found from theresa. i attached it to an old door i found from salvage debbie. i just love the way it turned out and i love the old patina on the mirror. how many time can i use the word love??? upgrade vocabulary now…..ah…adore, admire, dig, amore…i don’t know.

that all said….let me show you some highlights from carol’s open house!! wow. what a gorgeous home. what amazing decorations. what holiday spirit. thanks carol for the cheery looks and inspiration.

i hope you all enjoy. i will just load photos and let your eyes enjoy the tour and let the photos speak for themselves…like the softer side of santa here….he was shabby before it was chic…go santa. is your sleigh white with roses or eggshell blue with birds??

mega photos!! hope you are inspired and ready for the holidays!!! can you believe that carol decorated this house????? amazing!!!! i can hardly wash my slipcovers….

i love it and i again thank you carol for taking the time to put a smile on so many faces that entered your home monday!!!!

stay warm and you all take care.

holiday reflections open house

it is that time of year again when we crafters, junkers, vendors, and for those of you that do shows (so much work), work our butts off and seasonally challenge ourselves to create that something special for a gift, holiday decor, or just that something special that we think is unique and fun.

i have been invited this year as a vendor in the first season of the HOLIDAY REFLECTIONS OPEN HOUSE. it is a benefit show for the angel tree foundation in temple texas. it’s for a great cause and i know there will be awesome talent there as well. i have been busy making collages, jewelry, altering whatever else i can find, gathering up vintage clothing, a dress form, some other neat accessories, china, glassware, ephemera, lace, tags, and whatever else i’ve been able to accomplish in the last month with 2 kids, cubscouts, a husband MIA for part of this month, an ear infection, stomach virus, homework, schoolwork, derby car race, dirty house, laundry galore, yardwork, foodshopping, event planning, holiday shopping, and some other things that have really taken some time away from the creative process. i’m not sure how i have managed to pull it all off, but i have succeeded in at least gathering up enough goodies to form a ‘look’ and i’m happy and honored that i have been chosen to showcase what i can bring.

if any of you texans can make this show, i hear it is going to be absolutely fantastic!! Carol’s house, i am told, is unreal!! i can’t wait to see it. i can’t wait to meet other vendors and bloggers as well…..i will try to take photos if i have the time.

i hope to see you all there!! i hope i’ve collected enough items to sell!! i did the best i could with the time i had. my booth at crafters has been ignored and abandoned these past 2 months. i plan to kick it in gear the first of the year!!! i’ll be giving the booth a makeover and lifting her up to shabby vintagesue standards.

you all have a great day!!!

for a day store displays and crafty mess…..

i have been way too busy lately. i need a paper bag busy. life is overwhelming this time of the year for me. i am inspired by peace….not hustle and bustle and busy, busy, busy…but that is the way it seems to be this time of the year…eh???

busy as i may be, i found a day to go to MARTA’S for inspiration and some consultation and some…best of all…SHOPPING!!! marta has updated all her holiday displays and her store looks amazing!!! i took a million photos. i will just show you photos and not type. i’m busy…remember???? too busy to type. that’s sad. actually, i’m just lazy and photos in the case of marta…speak louder than me writing a bunch of blah, blah, blah. i will say that i’m doing this benefit with marta scheduled on DEC. 15th. and we had to consult about her BIG furniture (thank you Marta) and my little smalls i’m bringing. that is the main reason i stopped by her shop. but that isn’t the fun reason. THIS IS…….

please sit back…get a cup of tea and ENJOY, ENJOY, ENJOY!!!!!

marta is the queen of vignettes. you can click marta’s shop photos in my category list to see old posts about her store. she is located on highway 190 close to belton, texas. if you have a chance to stop by and see her….you will be sooooo glad you did. she has charmed her store with shimmery holiday displays and soooo many cute treasures, there is eye candy, whimsy and elegance everywhere you look!! she has only original pieces and takes great care shopping and buying items for her store.

hope you enjoyed! i took a lot of obscure photos of her shop this time. i love her doll collections and i LOVE this birdcage upside down with brushes. just adore it. it is on display in one of her WCs. how cool.

i have been making pillows, necklaces, signs, whatever i can…for this upcoming show. here are a few things in progress. i also have a HUGE mess on my table when i’m finished. it is total FOOLISHNESS like on clean sweep. that house show….they would have fun in my house. what could they sell at a yard sale and make any money on here???? hot glue sticks? vintage oddities???? FOOLISHNESS……

i bought a bunch of oval disks from marta and tried my hand at collage necklaces. i made about 20. i will try to post photos of the other soon, but i can’t promise anything. between cubs, a birthday party, a derby car to make, pricing for the show, laundry, food shopping, cleaning and meals….i’m super worn out this weekend already. zoey is potty training too….yay. i like being home so she can get used to¬† going potty at her leisure…which means peeing on the floor and then sitting on the potty afterwards. puddles of pee. what a life!!! i know…i’m on a tangent.

altered pillow.

part of a collage.

okay….too many cartoon noises in the background…better go turn something off. did you get that mom? yes…noise after 10pm is so distracting for me. my mom thinks i’m crazy because i hate loud noises after 10. i can’t help it. i hear loud noises all day long. i have to have the quiet for my sanity. am i alone on that one????

okay….tired, tired, tired. hope you were inspired.

you all have a great weekend.
