with the exception of the alteration of this photo, my child has gone camera WILD!!! arek can’t stop taking pictures. he has been completely nuts with a photo narrative of all things us. i uploaded about 30 photos for you to look at that this child has taken over the past week. he took the one above. he puts the camera on auto and goes for it. he does not hold back, like most 8 year olds. i don’t know is this is natural ability or just foolishness. i’m not sure it isn’t a bit of both….whatever it is, i guess i need to let him work it out. there were some photos i did not bother to put in this batch…..photos of me dropping things off at goodwill, photos of us eating thai food and photos of our poor tv habits.
for an 8 year old that has never been trained in depth and field, composition or subject….what can i say? pretty cool for my crappy camera and too many battery replacements. i’m proud of you arek.
for my family…enjoy. for my friends that went to art school with me….it doesn’t stop. and for the rest of my blogger friends, excuse the indulgence of this post. i just thought arek would LOVE to see his crazy work online. i hope it boosts his confidence…..i think he needs more of that lately. there are obscurities in this batch….an open jar of vaseline….a close up of broken eggs in my fridge…a small leaf branch balancing on our trampoline…pictures of things for sale in thrift shops…junk in the back of my husband’s truck…whatever he felt at the moment. these photos have been staged….all purposely intended for a meaning…a narrative of some sort. arek has a story for everything….strangely enough. i hope you find this interesting. i know i do. enjoy.
check it out. long, but somewhat interesting. i have to let his spirit soar sometimes. i can’t stop it.
